Quartier Papier is a name rooted in history. This striking industrial building was once home to the Papeterie de Saventhem, a 19th-century paper mill that played a key role in the local economy, specializing in the production of newspaper paper.
During the interwar years, the paper industry began to decline, and the factory gradually fell into disuse. Yet this was far from the end of its story.
Decades later, the building was reimagined as a creative hub for Belgium’s national TV channels VIER and VIJFtv. For eleven years, the space pulsed with media production under SBS Belgium.
For the last decade and still going strong, Quartier Papier stands as a unique event venue where industrial heritage meets contemporary design — the perfect setting for events that aim to inspire and leave a lasting impression.
